Christmas Dinner at the Baldwin's

Ohh what a night! Five grown Baldwin kids, three spouses, two parents (or Mumu and Poppy as we like to call them, eleven grandkids and a partridge in a pear tree! By three o'clock, Mumu and Poppy's house was a flutter with Christmas action. Watching eleven kids run around like crazy Christmas chickens is worth it's weight in gold! Not to mention, ten of them are under seven, so you can imagine what that must have been like!

The first thing we did was gather all the kids for a family grandkid picture. We haven't done that since Lily and Evie were newbies. I think the kids did an alright job! We have Aubrey, the oldest, holding the two babies, Hayden and Cannon, then there is Mason, Lane, Olivia, Kharis, Isabel, Carter, Lily and Evelyn. Whew!
Dinner was awesome! The best mashed potatoes ever, plus turkey, ham, asparagus, brussel sprouts, dressing, gravy, rolls, pasta salad... did I forget anything? Dinner is a happening over there when you get us all together to eat at once. All the adults are in the dining room and all the kids are in the kitchen. Thanks goodness for BIG tables!

Later, the kids opened their presents. Mumu and Poppy got all the kids something, which was really sweet. All the girls got mathing red polka dot zippy coats and all the boys got matching navy blue zippy coats. They also had a Disney theme going on, so all the kids got something Disney related. Lane and Mason got the The Black Pearl remote control ship, Carter got a remote control Tow Mater from Cars, Olivia and Isabel got the most beautiful snow globes, Evelyn got a very pretty Tinker Bell jewelry box, and honestly, I can't remember the rest. Needless to say though, it was very very thoughtful. Then the kids exchanged their Polly Anna's to each other! What a hoot. Wrapping paper thrown in the air, screams of joy filled the room, it was pure crazy and so much fun.
We also celebrated Hayden's first birthday that night. Kristy made him a bug cake! Too cute! So for dessert, everyone could eat traditional pies, or have bug cake. Too funny.

Lastly was our Raffle. This year we all put $10 each into a bucket and on Christmas night, one name was drawn to take home the big winnings! This year it was Dr. Disco, our bro-in-law Eric.

We had a very enjoyable Christmas night and by the time we got home, the kids were pooped. This was a wonderful holiday and I was thrilled that the kids could enjoy it! Much fun to be had by all!

Where's the prodigal son, Uncle Dave?

Steve said he can relate to the pic of Rob wide-eyed, looking like the chaos has gotten to him :)!

hope to get our families together sometime soon!
